Our integrated bodywork and movement coaching is designed for professionals looking for a more integrated approach to their health and wellbeing. The method utilises multiple perspectives in popular mind-body movement techniques including, Rolfing, Yoga, Pilates, Trager, Feldenkrais and soft tissue manipulation to help re-align the entire musculoskeletal structure and restore balance and ease to the body.
The technique achieves remarkable results by manipulation of the myofascial system, the body’s soft connective tissue network that surrounds and penetrates the muscles and other body structures. Through appropriate exercises and movements with pressure applied by the hands the fascia softens and elongates. The body segments are released from habitual patterns of tension so that the body finds a new level of ease, integration and economical function.
The session lasts for one hour and will normally start with a relaxation that will increase body heat and encourage blood flow; this will enable the stretches and movements of the exercises to economically integrate and effectively release any tension in the fascia, and encourage the constituent parts of the body to synergistically relate to each other.
The private sessions are tailored to support anyone prone to anxiety and stress. The sessions are designed to help improve performance, and in particular address any problems with focus and motivation. The sessions are suitable for everyone involved in performance including, public speakers, actors, singers, athletes, and musicians.
